Finalists Announced for the 2015 Rise to the Challenge Competition

A group 11 University of Baltimore students have been selected as finalists for UB’s Rise to the Challenge Pitch Competition- a competition sponsored by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. These entrepreneurs will face off on Thursday, April 16, as judges consider the merits of their new and existing business ventures. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Town Hall in UB’s Learning Commons, 1415 Maryland Ave.

The finalists and their categories, plus the name of their proposals, are

Graduate Students – Existing Business

  • Jamal Jackson, for Titan Recycling
  • Stacy Stube, for AVEH Art Village Education Hub

Graduate Students – New Business Idea

  • Antonio Asa, for Levite Wines
  • Jasmin Cabeza, for Senior Advisement and Technology Services
  • Jessica Welch, for Sounding Sea

Undergraduate Students – Existing Business

  • Collin Corcoran, for Premier Property Preservation
  • Isaac Loyal Jr., for Crown Magazines
  • Opeyemi Thomas, for Roadi

Undergraduate Students – New Business Idea

  • Joseph Napoli, for Unleash the Beach
  • Joe Reeb, for EduMarket
  • Monique Reid, for Medical Laboratory Launch
