International Education Week

This week is International Education Week and I asked a few of Langsdale Library’s staff to recommend a book by an International author.

  • Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe-recommended by April Duncan
  • Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini- recommended by Catherine Johnson and Tammy Taylor
  • Blindness by Jose Saramago- recommended by Tamara Smith
  • House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende-recommended by Erin Toepfner
  • Gabriela by Jorge Amado- recommended by Adrian Korz
  • Germinal by Emile Zola- recommended by Thomas Arendall
  • Disgrace by J.m Coetzee- recommended by Lucy Holman
  • Left to Tell: discovering God amidst the Rwandan holocaust by Immaculee Ilibagiza- recommended by Shamija Moncur

Now as we approach the Thanksgiving break you can have a belly full with this list of books to read.

If you would like to feature an International dish or beverage at your Thanksgiving dinner email me at shamija.moncur@ubalt.edu
