The New York Times has an interesting article on the continued rise of plagiarism on college campuses and changing student attitudes on their use of digital content. It cites studies reporting that fewer students today consider the unattributed use of material found on the Web or from sites such as Wikipedia as plagiarism. The generation who has grown up with file sharing and social networking may have difficulty understanding the need to cite such online material.
