It’s Dawn, your student liaison. If you are like me, you are probably frazzled and stressed out to finish your finals. Just keep in mind you have only one more week left. To close out this semester I wanted to cover a few things about Langsdale (quiet/group areas, library assistance and winter break hours.)
QUIET AREAS/BREAKOUT ROOMS
Langsdale, again, is here for you if you want a quiet study area or group space. The 3rd floor is known to be the quietest. The 2nd and 3rd floor also has rooms designed for groups.

Also, if you need assistance, please see a reference librarian with any question or participate on our live chat (similar to instant messaging.) Live chat is found on our website and you will get an instant response.
WINTER BREAK
And just because you will be on winter break doesn’t mean Langsdale is. We will be closed December 20- January 3, but we’ll be but open during the week in January; our hours of operation will be 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Mon-Fri. Our reference desk is open from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. as well.
LEISURELY READ AND WATCH
During your break, you should check out our wide selection of leisurely books and DVDs. I have used the DVDs quite regularly, especially when I need some down time from studying. And I can’t believe the selection and how some are new releases. I don’t have to spend money to rent a movie now!
