Check out their flyer for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">USM Incorporating Generative AI into Learning Experiences Virtual Showcase<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Incorporating Generative AI into Learning Experiences virtual showcase will take place on\u00a0Friday,\u00a0April 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. &#8211; 1:00 p.m.\u00a0The event will take place online via Zoom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">General registration has been re-opened with limited additional spots. We expect these spots to fill very quickly, so the program organizers encourage USM faculty and staff to register as soon as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The showcase will highlight how faculty, staff, and faculty\/staff\/student teams from across Maryland higher education have engaged in the use of Generative AI as part of assignments and learning activities. How are we engaging students in the creation of authentic work while using Generative AI? What are critical ethical issues associated with the use of Generative AI in teaching? How might we foster career-ready skills associated with Generative AI as a part of students\u2019 learning experiences?\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We have several\u00a0UBalt\u00a0colleagues presenting in this showcase!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Dr. James Lang\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">will launch the showcase as the keynote speaker, building from insights found in his 2013 book,\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Cheating Lessons: Learning from Academic Dishonesty<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, to discuss academic integrity in the era of generative AI.
