This week, I created a walk cycle for the character. I’m currently working on finalizing that animation. I’m adjusting the applied weight paints and joints to better the model’s rig and animation presentation.
In my last post, I said that I would be submitting the animation section of the project last Wednesday. However, I realized my days were mistaken, and my development plan says that the animation should be completed on April 15th instead. I’ll be taking advantage of this extra time to polish the already existing rig. I’ll also need to create a Mixamo compatible rig for integration purposes, as the joints in the coat are too complicated for the program’s animations to be applied.
Both versions of the rig, along with the animation, will be uploaded to the Google Drive by April 15th.
