With my character model fully rigged I can finally begin animation. When finishing up my rigging I had do to some weight painting on the legs joints to keep them from moving my jacket and hair. I left it so moving the shoulder joints moves the hair so it would look more natural when animating. When I tried to fully weight paint the hair it just felt too static. For the in Maya animation I plan to do a simple “Walking up and saying hello” type of gesture. Something that could be used in almost any situation and still utilizes all of my character joints.
