Since this is my first post I’ll recap what I’ve already done and the progress I made this week. Here is the document for my original character concept.

Since my typical modeling day is Monday and this post was due on Sunday I don’t have much more than I did in class last week. But I did begin the process of clothing my model and picking base colors for these items. For now I’m still keeping my character low poly as I model the clothing. After the clothing and head is finished, I plan to smooth everything and make final adjustments.
Right now my biggest challenge is with the body proportions. Since the models I’m using are based on anime characters instead of actual humans their arms, legs, and other features tend to be more stick like and less organic. I’ve also struggled with rounding out he body while still keeping it natural looking. Right now the side angle of my character is still very flat in the chest and waist area especially. Despite these struggles I’m very happy with the progress of my character. The beginning steps of getting a base model came much faster to me since this is the second time I’m making a humanoid model.
