During the Spring Break I was feeling unwell. I was not able to do much texturing. I only have a bit of strength to do some stuff even for the other classes but that is it. This week I was busy separating UV sets because Maya was very glitchy (and likes to crash alot). I made two Maya files, One for non combination and one for combination to test out the animation that can keep track of the moving textures. The animation tends to stick upon the hair and the bandanna so I decided to separate them from the body for now. I will like to extend the deadline from Wednesday March 25th to Saturday March 28th to properly fix the texturing. I can to do the texturing in like a day but I need more time to fix the texturing.
I also did not like Substance painter. Sure it is good for references, but the dang paint of the brush keeps spreading through different parts of the body ( tried to test that on the characters I made for Capstone One).
It will be easy enough to do the dress, bandanna, and armor plate, (maybe the hair) texture in Substance Painter, but the rest of the texture will be work through Photoshop.
