I made sure to make large eyes that popped out to keep with the anime style. I also got to work on the black cartoon outline that the character from Bakugan had. This ended up being a lot harder to make than I originally thought and I had to go back and change some of my geometry in order to make it work. For example I had to make the hair, eyes, eyebrow, and mouth all separate geometry in order to get the black character outline to work on them. In the long wrong I think this was also a good choice because it made my character seem less flat and more three dimensional. With the small changes my character model itself is finally done. I plan to do a few small touch up to the textures this week and then turn that in next week. I need to work on making the colors brighter in order to match the cartoon style of the show and video game. I’ve also started working with the rigging despite the minor issues I’ve been running into.<\/p>\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-409\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ubalt.edu\/cosc420-spring20\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1229\/2020\/03\/Alison-Brannon-Character-Model-Full-264x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"264\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubalt.edu\/cosc420-spring20\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1229\/2020\/03\/Alison-Brannon-Character-Model-Full-264x300.png 264w, https:\/\/blogs.ubalt.edu\/cosc420-spring20\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1229\/2020\/03\/Alison-Brannon-Character-Model-Full.png 466w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 264px) 100vw, 264px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Over spring break and the week before I spent my time finishing my character model and starting my textures.
