Ottobar Posters

A huge red and white cat is drawn in a simple, cartooon-ish style, mid-yawn on a background of clouds. The cat's long fur flows into the hair of a person playing an electric guitar, who seems to be floating off of the ground, like they're being swept away by the music. Behind the guitarist is a half-stack amplifier with the name Ottobar on the head and the Ottobar's logo - a cat batting at a martini glass - silhouetted on the cabinet in black and white.

2015 Maryland Film Festival Branding Campaign

Four images represent different aspects of Post Typography’s branding campaign for the 2015 Maryland Film Festival. Whimsical illustrations of film reels as ice cream cones topped with sprinkles that look like play, pause and fast forward icons reflect the festival’s “2015 Flavors of Film” theme. The poster background features a grid of colorful circle icons representing different genres of film including martial arts, spaghetti western and animation against a dark purple backdrop. The illustrations reference a pop art style by portraying mundane objects, such as film reels, as something else in a colorful way. The overall design aesthetic references modernism because it features a grid and simple sans serif typography. The ice cream reel illustration was used in a poster, billboard and t-shirt design.
