It is also a space to raise unmet needs that would help you succeed in your law school\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">career \u2026 and work with the LSD to help fulfill those needs that would benefit you and fellow students across the country.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>A native of Compton, CA,\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Villase\u00f1or describes himself as a \u201cfirst-generation Lawtino.\u201d He is also the incoming vice president of the law school\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/law.ubalt.edu\/alumni\/ubspi\/index.cfm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Students for Public Interest (UBSPI)<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">. \u201cAfter working in\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">public interest, nonprofit\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">leadership and governmental\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">spaces for more than 10 years,\u201d he says, \u201cI want to connect those experiences as an aspiring public defender and be a zealous advocate for those who I will fight on behalf of.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>\u201cMy goal is to strengthen the connection between public interest work and our law school, helping bring more opportunities for law students while serving our communities. As the next ABA Delegate of Diversity and Inclusion, I want to bring bold leadership and uplift the underrepresented voices among the law student body at [Baltimore Law] and across the nation, creating pipelines for leader- ship and representation in decision-making spaces.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section
