Adams, J.D. \u201906<\/b>, this year became a partner at the Washington, D.C. firm of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.squirepattonboggs.com\/en\/professionals\/a\/adams-christopher-w\" target=\"_blank\">Squire Patton Boggs<\/a>, where he specializes in intellectual property and technology. He has been at the firm since 2008, first as an associate and then as of counsel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While attending Baltimore Law at night, Adams worked for several Northern Virginia federal government IT solutions providers, gaining hands-on experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle. He holds many industry certifications.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview earlier this year with<i>&nbsp;<\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Law.com<\/i><\/a>, Adams shared some advice he received from a colleague on how to approach this next phase of his career. \u201cHe reminded me that as Nelson Mandela said, \u2018After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb,\u2019 and so I should take this as an important step in the journey, but not the destination.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>His advice to young law firm associates? \u201cHave a positive mindset and be respectful of both your professional colleagues and your administrative support staff; most have been at the firm longer than you, and they have lessons to teach you that will be helpful to your career
