Langsdale boasts a connection with not just one, but two BoB winners: sometime Circulation assistant Abdu Eaton (UB class of \u201914)\u2014known as Abdu Ali to followers of his local fashion blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/eatonthis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Eat On This<\/a>, and to scenesters all over Baltimore  \u2014was named <a href=\"http:\/\/citypaper.com\/bob\/arts\/best-renaissance-man-1.1553625\" target=\"_blank\">Best Renaissance Man<\/a> by <i>City Paper<\/i>. We were pleased that Abdu\u2019s flawless style and cultural savvy are getting well-deserved recognition, as well as his musical and party-promotion endeavors. Good work Abdu!<span style=\"font-family: Calibri\"><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt\">\n<div style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-VqAyJmBdszk\/Ujtt__zZjXI\/AAAAAAAAAIk\/Q9FETfGIjyg\/s1600\/shot_1379626267591+(1).jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em;margin-right: 1em\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"320\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-VqAyJmBdszk\/Ujtt__zZjXI\/AAAAAAAAAIk\/Q9FETfGIjyg\/s320\/shot_1379626267591+(1).jpg\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>We\u2019re also excited that Langsdale Administrative Assistant, Adam Shutz (UB class of \u201911), was honored when the literary magazine he co-founded, <i>Artichoke Haircut<\/i>, won a BoB for <a href=\"http:\/\/citypaper.com\/bob\/arts\/best-little-magazine-1.1553652\" target=\"_blank\">Best Little Magazine<\/a>. In addition to hosting monthly open-mic readings sponsored by Artichoke Haircut called \u201cYou\u2019re Allowed\u201d and publishing his own work, Adam pitches in as the journal\u2019s poetry editor. <\/p>\n<p>We asked Adam to put aside the blinding joy of receiving this honor and asked if he actually liked what <i>City Paper<\/i> had to say. Adam confirms, \u201cI thought it was pretty accurate. They covered pretty much everything that we <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artichokehaircut.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">do<\/a>\u2014the reading series, the magazine and the blog\u2014and they covered it in a way that captured the spirit of what we are going for. It was surprising. Out of all the articles and interviews and things that have been written about the magazine (and there haven\u2019t been many) that was the closest to being true.\u201d  So, good going, <i>City Paper<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>After basking in post-award bliss, Shutz has a lot to look forward to: <i>City Paper<\/i>\u2019s huge Best Of soiree is on Thursday night, the next &#8220;You\u2019re Allowed&#8221; is scheduled for October 3rd, and it\u2019s almost Adam\u2019s birthday.
