Cupcake socials, classes taught by reference librarians, laptop loaners, and faculty and liaison orientations. These are just a few of the many things Library has already offered this semester and it\u2019s just September.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>Working in Langsdale Library has afforded me the opportunity to observe many of my colleagues spend countless hours organizing and planning to continually investigate better ways to serve Faculty\/Staff and students. <\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n We\u2019ve combined Reserves, Intercampus and InterLibrary Loan in one Department (Book and Document Delivery) to provide knowledgeable resource sharing services to the University community. <\/span>Our new student liaison Dawn Lamb will serve as a bridge between students and the Library by <\/span>communicating and informing students about updates and information in regards to the Library. <\/span>We\u2019ll take Read Posters at designated times throughout the Semester. (Keep an eye out in October for information for Read Posters taken in your Halloween costume!)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n As we head into mid-terms in the not too distant future, start getting acquainted with who\u2019s who in the Library, what department can help you with what. <\/span>Who is the Reference Liaison for your discipline. <\/span>What things can you get accomplished at the Circulation desk. Try not to wait until the night before the paper is due while you are in panic mode<\/span><\/p>\n We here at Langsdale are constantly working and thinking of ways to involve you in the Library, and to serve you, striving to make it fun and informative. <\/span>Browse the website and read the Langsdale Link and the daily digest for upcoming workshops and events.<\/span><\/p>\n So come on, venture over, we know there\u2019s construction going on nearby, but it\u2019s UB, and it\u2019s the city. There will always be something going on!
