University of Baltimore professors from various departments – including Public Administration, Accounting, History, and Criminal Justice – were asked to recommend both new and classic titles. The titles and call numbers, along with short reviews, can be found featured on our in-library promotional posters throughout the library. Look for the signs that say “SURVEY SAYS”. In future semesters, we will feature recommendations from other faculty members in different disciplines. If you are a faculty member interested in contributing your recommendations for future book promotions, please contact Brian Chetelat at the Langsdale Library, (410) 837-4234 or email at bchetelat@ubalt.edu.

Here are our Fall 2006 recommendations:

Dr. Kathleen Block
Undergraduate Program Director
Criminology, Criminal Justice & Social Policy

Causes of Delinquency
Hirschi, Travis

The Cycle of Juvenile Justice
Bernard, Thomas

But They All Come Back
Travis, Jeremy

Dr. Elizabeth Nix
Visiting Associate Professor
Legal, Ethical & Historical Studies

Forever Free
Foner, Eric

At Canaan’s Edge
Branch, Taylor

Let Us Now Praise Famous Men
Agee, James & Walker Evans

My Face Is Black Is True
Berry, Mary Frances

Dr. Lorenda Naylor
Assistant Professor
School of Public Affairs

Collaborative Public Management
Agranoff & McGuire

Dr. Susan Lynn
Associate Professor of Accounting

Financial Shenanigans
Schilit, Howard

Creative Cash Flow Reporting
Mulford & Comiskey

Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room
dvd

The Financial Numbers Game
Mulford & Comiskey

Dr. Heather Pfeifer
Assistant Professor, Graduate Program Director
Division of Criminology, Criminal Justice & Social Policy

The Crime Drop In America
Blumstein and Wallman

Crime and The American Dream
Messner & Richard Rosenfeld

Would you like to sneak a peak at your favorite professor’s personal bookshelf?
