Freshman are coming to UB in 2007! This will mark quite a change for the University for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that 18-20 year old students will suddenly constitute a much larger portion of our student body.<\/p>\n
Numerous articles have been written about these new students, their experiences growing up and how they learn. These new students – referred to by many monikers such as the Net Generation, Millennials, and Echo Boomers – are said to have grown up with the Internet, are used to being always connected, have short attention spans and expect to have more interaction in classes.<\/p>\n
Langsdale Library has created a list of books, articles and web sites that provide information and ideas for teaching this generation of students:<\/p>\n
