  • Consulted with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (part of the SEC) on economic analyses of changes to accounting standards.
  • Presented and taught programs on ethics and corporate social responsibility for the Institute of Management Accountants and CPE events.
  • Provided written comments on proposed changes in the Code of Ethics for professional accountants for the International Accounting Standards Board.
  • Welcomed SEC Commissioner Michael S. Piwowar for a dialogue with 250 attendees on the “Future of the U.S. Securities Regulation.”
  • One full time faculty and one lecturer, who is the chair of the accounting advisory board, are members of the Maryland Board of Public Accountancy.
