Spring has Sprung?

We just got through mid-terms and believe it or not, it’s time to start thinking about spring 2014 semester. It’s time to start thinking about your schedule and digging out your specialization checklist to “tick off” those courses you have completed and those you are eligible to take in the spring semester.

Specialization checklist?

This is a critical piece of information that is vital to your academic success. Your specialization checklist is your blue print to graduation. If you recall, you received the checklist at your first meeting with your academic adviser. Each time you visit us you can request an updated copy for your records. We have them on file electronically in our office. If you don’t have yours, you should get one to help you through the pre-registration process.

Registration?

Registration officially begins November 4 according to the number of credits you have completed – see the Academic Calendar. Your MyUB will magically grant you access when you are eligible to enroll. If you have a hold on your account (financial, academic or otherwise), please consult with your adviser as soon as possible. I can’t stress that enough. The longer you wait to start the registration process the longer it is for you to know whether or not you have a current hold or something preventing you from registering.

Schedule an appointment with your academic adviser to help you plot your courses for spring 2014. Isn’t it time you came to see us again?

One more thing to get you in the registration mindset – checkout the Spring 2014 Undergraduate Business Course Offerings on the Merrick School of Business student resource page. You have all the business courses for spring 2014 all in one place. This list is subject to change, so check for updates often.
