And We’re Back: The Spring 2021 LDDC Website has launched!

The Legal Data and Design Clinic (LDDC) is back and ready to go!

In order to commemorate the start of a new semester, the clinic has released an updated version of its website. This release contains information about the new student attorneys and features a new “LDDC Alumni” page.

This semester, the Legal Data and Design Clinic welcomes six new student attorneys: Kenbrielle Ard, Kala Fryman, Gregory Kim, Marvin Shi, Cameron Stang, and Ché Star. The varying backgrounds, experiences, and interests of these students will forward the LDDC’s mission and benefit our clients. We are excited to see how they will address and challenge the injustices caused by unequal laws.

The new website also includes a new archival page containing information about previous LDDC students attorneys. Although our LDDC alumni have moved on, their work and commitment to our clients and community is memorialized on the new Alumni page.

Although the website and the Clinic itself have experienced some changes, the Legal Data and Design Clinic’s commitment to the principles of client-centered lawyering and user-based design remain the same. Many of the LDDC’s clients seek our support in using data analysis to ameliorate injustice. Last spring, in pursuit of justice, the LDDC assisted with the implementation of House Bill 280, which supported the end of driver’s license suspensions for a failure to pay traffic-related debts. This semester, the Legal Data and Design Clinic plans to participate in several exciting projects concerning bail reform, driver’s license suspensions, and vehicle automation.

This website will be updated regularly, and our student attorneys will be releasing blog posts on a number of related topics. Check back with us frequently for new content!
