LDDC Website Version 2.0: The Start of the Next Chapter

Website version 2.0 of the LDDC website has launched! This is the last installment of the LDDC website for the Spring 2020 student attorneys who will be graduating at the end of this semester. The main objective of version 2.0 was to refine with small upgrades and finalize decisions on larger undertakings to the website.

For this release we focused on improving the readability of the website and adding more content to already existing areas. We updated “Word Press Hints” and added a new Twitter Widget. Improving mobile accessibility was another goal of this release in order to make it easier for mobile users to view our site. Three new blog posts were added – “Life in the Numbers: A Semester Recognizing the Humanity in Legal Data Analysis” by Andrew Cummings, “11 Slack Tips Every Lawyer Should Know” by Professor Colin Starger, and “Law School from Home During a Global Pandemic (And any other times too!)” by Jose Zelada.

While this will be the last website release for the 2020 Spring semester, it won’t be the end.  The Legal Data and Design Clinic will return in Spring 2021 with new and exciting content from the rapidly changing world of legal data and design.

We leave you with a quote from author Frank Herbert, “There is no real ending. It’s just the place where you stop the story.” This is not the end for the LDDC website; the story will be continued by students for years to come and we are excited to see the next steps future LDDC students take.

All the best,

Kira, Andrew, Nicholas, Emily, Elizabeth, Jose.
