Our Version 1.3 – Content is King

Today the LDDC releases version 1.3 of its website. This is the second release since the global pandemic moved our clinic’s operations entirely online and our first release where all of the project work and coordination took place without in-person interactions. We feel lucky that our individual circumstances have permitted us to continue this work.

For this release, LDDC student attorneys focused on building content. Improvements include a  revamped homepage, modest additions to our WordPress hints page, and two new blog posts — “Navigating Maryland’s Name-Change Requirement” and “Get a CLUE: How Data Scraping Helps Improve Criminal Justice“. Consistent with our commitment to open data, we updated our research page to include the data underlying our testimony in support of HB280 and Jose Zelada’s blog on the ongoing fight against oppressive bail.

This last release period also saw the LDDC join the Twitterverse. If you have in interest in legal data and design, consider following us  @UBLDDC!
