To What Was Once A Sparrow
What are you doing here
dead
in a parking garage
on the blue planet grey planet
grey concrete
grey sky
grey skull
What are you doing here
rotting
in this minor basilica of human indifference
Not a sacrifice
simply a consequence, unintended,
unnoticed except by holy ants
What am I doing here
a dying thing
writing with a dead thing a poem to a dead thing
What are we doing here
we know where we’re going / just how do we get there
we don’t know where we’re going / but we know how we’re getting there
A green ubi sunt is the best we can hope for
Dradzynski
Ryan Dradzynski (he/him) currently lives and writes and does other things in the D.C. area. His home is a library that has been gathered with extreme care but is by no means intended as a working tool.
My name is Eunice Hong, and I am studying Interdisciplinary Object Design at Towson University. My primary medium is Rhinoceros 3D, a computer-aided design (CAD) software. I draw inspiration from research to create pieces that convey meaningful stories and to raise awareness of global issues. As an artist, my goal is to inspire and to reveal the truth about history’s hidden voices through my work.
