Maryland Library Association provides assistance to hurricane-damaged library

The Maryland Library Association (MLA) is collecting donations for the Pearlington Library in Mississippi that was devastated in Hurricane Katrina. They have received a late model bookmobile and are taking donations to fill the bookmobile with new books, audio cassettes/CDs and computers. This bookmobile will serve as the library until the existing building can be restored or rebuilt.

MLA hopes to send the bookmobile on its way south on or near December 19. We hope that it will be filled with materials that patrons in Mississippi can enjoy!
