The April 4 edition of the Baltimore Sun has an article by Gadi Dechter entitled “Baltimore’s Riots Remembered” that details UB’s examination of events in Baltimore following the assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. You can read about some of the work done by Langsdale’s special collections department, along with several UB faculty members and students, to create a Baltimore 168 Riots and Rebirth Collection.
The article from the Baltimore Sun will only be available online for 2 weeks, but members of the UB community can continue to access the article through Langsdale’s subscription to the Baltimore Sun archives going back to 1990.
