Web design workshops

Langsdale Library is proud to announce the return of its popular web design workshops. Led by the library’s local tech guru, Michael Shochet, these workshops will teach you how to create basic websites by hand. Master the fundamentals of HTML in only a few hours.

Here are the Summer 2008 dates for the workshops.

Introduction to HTML
Friday, 6/6/2008, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Want to create your own web page or put your resume on the web? Learn the basics of HTML (hypertext markup language), the programming language used to create web sites. This is an excellent course to attend prior to learning Dreamweaver or other web editors.

HTML With Style: Using CSS
Friday, 6/27/2008, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Learn how to enhance the design of your web pages using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). CSS makes it easier to manage the look and feel of your web pages, and makes your website viewable in multiple browsers. Want to find out what else CSS can do? Come and join us.

Admission is free to all UB students, staff and faculty. You can register by contacting the Reference staff at (410) 837-4274 or at langref@ubalt.edu. The workshops will take place in Langsdale Library room 401.
