Calling All Bibliophiles and Bibliophobics: The Langsdale Book Sale is Nigh!

Are you looking for an extreme experience this Halloween? Is your idea of celebrating this spooky season all about facing your darkest fears head-on? There are haunted attractions that play into the many rational or irrational phobias of their patrons—catering to frights such as coulrophobia, for instance (fear of clowns); phasmophobia (fear of ghosts); claustrophobia (fear of confined spaces);  and achluophobia (fear of the dark).
Not to be outdone this Halloween, Langsdale would like to invite you to its annual used book sale on October 30 and 31. Sure, it’s not a haunted attraction per se, but if you suffer from bibliophobia (fear of books), the event will be completely terrifying.

We have more books this year than ever before, and Langsdale Auditorium’s gallery will be stacked with wall-to-wall tomes on any imaginable topic, taunting visitors with their insanely low prices ($2 for a hardback, $0.50 for a paperback; and on October 31all-you-can-stuff-into-a-bag special for $1.)
The scariest thing about the book sale is that it may be the last one for the foreseeable future, so don’t miss out!

See you on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from noon to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Langsdale Auditorium, 1420 Maryland Avenue.

Proceeds will benefit Langsdale’s general fund.  For questions, call the Langsdale Circulation Desk at 410.837.4260.
