Free Coffee, Game Night, and a Publications Showcase at Langsdale

May is a busy month around campus as student are finishing up classes and preparing for final exam week.

At the end of the semester students are like:

So, Langsdale Library is giving the tired, stressed-out, “can’t-wait-for-the-semester-to-end” students some extra energy. Stop by the first floor for free lemonade and coffee from 8:30am to 6pm, Monday, May 6 through Thursday, May 9.

One cup of coffee or lemonade, and you’ll be alert like:


Since you’re so awake from that coffee, stay after hours on Friday, May 10. Langsdale Library is staying open from 6-10pm for Late Night Game Night. Simulation and Digital Entertainment (SDE) program will be hosting a board game party to kick off the new game library in the lower level of the Langsdale!

Bring snacks and drinks to share, friends, and your favorite games. We have a massive space and lots of tables, so the more the merrier. Bring your friends to Late Night Game Night like:

Games provided include: Ticket to Ride, 7 Wonders, Kingsburg, Ascension Chronicle of the Godslayer, Bohnanza, Scotland Yard, Carcassonne, Settlers of Catan, Dominion, Lost Cities, Small World, and Pandemic.
 

Finally, Tuesday, May 14 is the Literary Publications Class Showcase. Students will have their book art projects on display and for purchase. You’ll have so many amazing book arts to look at, you’ll be like:

The showcase is followed by a student reading of their original creative works.  Light refreshments will be provided.
